About
Jos Boys has worked in architecture as a feminist and disability design activist for most of her life and has been a co-founder of two world-renowned platforms – Matrix feminist design collective in 1980s and The DisOrdinary Architecture Project, started in 2007. More recently, Jos has been exploring how to build on those years of social engagement through her own creative art practice. She has found this later life change in direction very productive, centring on work informed by the early days of conceptual art as well as radical rights movements in the 1970s and 80s - exploring how these translate to contemporary conditions and concerns, particularly around human vulnerability, social inequality and the climate emergency.
